Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of US-based experience in HVAC and Plumbing design across commercial, healthcare, residential, hospitality, and restaurant projects. Experience in fire protection systems is a plus.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading mechanical design development from concept through construction documentation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, code-compliant, and high-quality engineering solutions.

Job Responsibilities :

Lead HVAC and plumbing system design, including load calculations, ductwork, piping, and layout development
Define project scope, schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple assignments
Prepare complete design packages with accuracy and technical quality
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines
Communicate with clients and vendors regarding design requirements and equipment specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards including Chicago Building Code, IMC, IBC, NFPA, and ASHRAE
Evaluate design alternatives for e2iciency, cost, and life-cycle performance
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction-phase coordination
Develop schematic designs, sequences of operation, and BMS I/O summaries

Job Qualifications :

Minimum 4 years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems
Strong experience in HVAC and plumbing design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC load calculation tools (Carrier HAP /Trane Trace)
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
Strong communication and coordination skills
